The ultimate solution for cold weather camping (or those chilly summer nights!), the  Portable Diesel heater is designed and assembled locally in the mountains of Oregon. This unit is self-contained (meaning unlike others, this case holds the fuel tank, fuel lines, exhaust, heat ducting and exhaust inside the case), water resistant, crush-resistant, and most of all yogi bear proof. The proprietary detachable vent system makes setup and take down a breeze and the cap-able vent ports keep the adventure dust out! With a built in 5.5L fuel tank filled, you’ll be comfortable all night, even with the heater turned up all the way. One of the big benefits compared to a propane heater is the lack of condensation introduced by the heater itself, and no open flames in the heated space. This unit can heat tents, awning rooms, tent annexes, trailers, or even the cab of your adventure mobile! The heater can run on road diesel, heating oil, or kerosene and it’s even safe to run anti-gel additives for when the temperatures really get cold! Included with the heater is a quickstart guide, a user’s manual, aviation grade waterproof electrical connections with a 10 foot power cord and wired controller, 8 feet of quality insulated vent hose, intake and exhaust , and all the other parts you’ll need to get up and running. The case is perfectly tailored to hold all parts and pieces cleanly inside the case to avoid any damage or any extra baggage. The heater runs on 12v DC and uses the same amount of power as a car refrigerator once it’s up and running (~1 amp on high, 15 amps during startup/shutdown, make sure you have the approriate power source to power the heater, we have set the power harness up with a plug on the end so you can use whatever connection works best for you setup ).

Happy with purchase, but some concerns.

First off, my initial review is no longer up, I’m unsure why. I bought this in early February 2023 and it took nearly 8 weeks to get. Not the end of the world, but it was longer than what was advertised and that’s a long lead time for something as expensive as this.

I used it once last spring, and a second time this December, 2023. Upon its second use it ended up leaking at the fuel line fitting on the tank, making a huge mess in my heater box and rendering the heater unusable for the duration of my trip. Also, the power connector fitting on the Nanuk case was not installed and riveted properly and looks bad and also isn’t water tight. So some definite QC issues, which is frustrating in the context of the lead time and the cost. I would expect a more polished product.

The heater itself otherwise is good. They did a lot of good things with the design and execution, and overall I’m happy with the product.

My main gripe is with the complete lack of customer service. I emailed regarding these issues and never received a reply. Nobody answers the phone when you call, and I’m afraid Lolo’s foray into E-commerce is not off to a good start.

I fixed the issues myself, but definitely can’t recommend this product based on the lacking customer service/ support. What’s the point of a one year warranty if you can’t contact the company in order to remedy the warranty concern?

Buy the same product from Cor Heaters, or better yet go see Pacific Upfitters, who also sell a similar product and will actually talk with you.

This will be the last thing I buy from Lolo.

Just don't buy it

I am not sure why Lolo deletes these reviews. There are a lot of design flaws in this that leads to a lot of problems. The fuel leaks out of the tank while driving since it will eventually slosh and leak out of the vent unless you empty it after each use which is exhausting. The soldering on my unit was rather pathetic, the panel plug on the font was poorly mounted, along with a handful of other short sighted design flaws.

I rebuilt and redesigned this heater by using a roto-pak tank attached to the front of the case with a fuel quick disconnect and a fuel shut off right before the heater unit. I resoldered all the connections and permanently mounted the exhaust and intake to the case in a similar way to a planar heater. I did a few other things to improve the fit and finish but for $900... I feel EXTREMLY had. I have experience in production and in electronic manufacturing and this is pretty rough for $400 worth of parts for a $900 price tag.
